Dedicated to protecting our community, SouthGate Protection CIC works to ensure safety, visibility, and trust across Croydon.
Our Mission
At SouthGate Protection CIC, our mission is simple: safety, visibility, and community trust. We patrol local streets to protect all residents, while providing extra care and support to groups such as women, children, and the elderly. Every action we take is guided by integrity, professionalism, and compassion.
Our Story
Founded by Rashell Ali Chowdhury, SouthGate Protection CIC was created to address gaps in community safety and support for those who may need extra help. With a focus on proactive patrols and partnerships with local organizations, we aim to make Croydon a safer place for everyone to live, work, and thrive.
What We Do
Community Patrols: Regular and visible patrols to deter crime and reassure residents.
Partnerships & Collaboration:
Working with Faron Paul / FazAmnesty to raise awareness and run initiatives such as knife amnesties, encouraging safe surrender of weapons and reducing risks on our streets.
Working with Croydon Community Action Guardians (CCAG) to support after-school safety patrols that safeguard young people, provide visible reassurance, and help create a safer journey home for students.
Education & Awareness: Providing guidance and resources to the public on personal safety and crime prevention.
Our Impact
Assisted hundreds of residents across Croydon.
Supported multiple events and knife amnesty collections, including the Notting Hill Carnival, resulting in 14 weapons surrendered in one weekend.
Built strong relationships with local organizations and the community, reinforcing trust and visibility.
Why We Do It
We believe everyone deserves to feel safe in their community. By combining professional patrols, community engagement, and strategic partnerships, we aim to create safer streets and stronger neighborhoods, while giving extra support to those who need it most.
